Hydrostatic Bearing Actuators: Design with Lateral Forces Considered: An important criterion in hydraulic cylinder design is the ability to withstand lateral or sideways forces on the piston rod. The bending line of the piston rod subjected to transverse forces depends in particular on the stroke length, the free piston rod end and the stroke position in addition to the piston rod diameter. Therefore, the allowable lateral force in the shortest stroke position is always greater than the allowable lateral force in the longest stroke position.
Protection against accidental movement: Each test cylinder of the series is equipped with a safety damper in front of each end position. This is the protection of the cylinder itself.
Smooth, low stick-slip hydraulic cylinders are required in dynamic testing environments. HH offers two types of test cylinders with extremely low friction. High manufacturing precision with small guide clearances ensures wear-free operation and thus extends service life.
